DAY 1
Early in the morning travel to explore the Horton’s plains national park. Horton’s plains offers some excellent hikes in an unusual environment, characterized by forest patches, grasslands and some high-altitude vegetation. Highlights include the dramatic 880 metre drop at World's End and the beautiful Baker's Falls.
In afternoon travel to Ella for overnight stay.
DAY 2
After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya - en route take a short break at Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. At this orphanage you will find elephants of all ages that have been abandoned and the unique feature is that you feed the baby elephants with milk bottles during the feeding times. After lunch visit the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya which tells a tale of power, intrigue and tragedy.
DAY 3
Leave for Anuradhapura after breakfast. First Capital of Sri Lanka in the 3 rd Century BC. Declared a World Heritage Site.Visit Sri Maha Bodhi, the oldest historically documented tree in the world, the Brazen Palace , Dagobas, Ruwanwelisaya, Abeygiri & Jetawana Monasteries, finely preserved rock-cut statues of Lord Buddha and ruins of palaces, Isurumuniya rock temple.
overnight at Anuradhapura.
In the afternoon you will drive to Polonnaruwa for the visit of the well preserved remains of the city which has been the capital in Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th Century. You will see the excavations: Temples, Dagobas, the royal palace, the royal library, ect.
Overnight in Sigiriya.
DAY 4
Leave for Kandy via Dambulla. See the Golden Rock, a cave temple which dates back to the 1 st Century.BC. From Dambulla drive to Matale to visit a spice garden. In Kandy , visit the Temple of the Tooth. View a cultural dance.
Dinner and overnight at Kandy.
DAY 5
After early breakfast, Leave for Colombo or the airport.
Enroute, visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.
DAY 6
After breakfast, Leave for Nuwara Eliya. Visit a tea factory en-route to see how the world's favorite drink is prepared. Nuwara Eliya resembles an old English town, complete with a lake, race track, well- kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican Church and an 18 hole golf course. Visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens, which houses an exotic collection of roses and ferns.
Overnight at Nuwara Eliya.
DAY 7
After breakfast you travel to Yala. En-route visit famous Ella gap and enjoy the most beautiful sceneries in the Sri Lanka highlands.
In afternoon, explore the Yala national wildlife park. Yala is one of Sri Lanka 's premier eco tourism destinations, where you can watch closely Leopard, Elephants and unique varieties of Birds.
Overnight stay in Yala.
DAY 8 & 9
Travel to a beach resort for your beach holiday. En-route visit Galle fort, which was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century.
Then visit a turtle hatchery in the southern cost. These sea turtle hatcheries are for the survival of sea turtles for the next generation.
In the afternoon, relax at your beach resort. Overnight stay at a beach resort.
DAY 10
Leave Air port for Departure.
